Only approved Mini Stox Bodyshells are permitted. Approval of any other bodyshell not listed below can only be used with the approval of Alec Quarman before using. His decision is final!
These are the approved shells: Mini, Hillman Imp, Morris Minor, Anglia, Sunbeam Stiletto & Mk1 Escort.
Cars to be 1:12th scale reasonable representation of a full size Mini type car. All shells must be ABS only!
Steel whip aerials and rollover masts are not allowed, and aerials must remain inside the the bodyshell. No wings or aerofoils or any under body aids are allowed.
Chassis to be single piece of constructed in GRP only, measuring no more than 220mm in length and 80mm in width, with a minimum of ground clearance of 3mm.
Bumpers to be fitted and constructed of plastic/nylon or any other suitable resilient material, length not to exceed 140mm, width not to exceed 15mm. Bumpers must not protrude beyond the outside wheel edges.
Any commercially available speed controller may be used, must have reverse fitted and working. Mechanical to have a maximum retail price of £30.00, Electronic £60.00. Receiver battery packs are allowed.
Any type of Servo Saver permitted.
Ball races allowed on rear axle only.
32dp gears only. Pinions min. 12t, max. 18t. Only standard mardave 46T, 48T , 50T spur gear to be used inclueding original all in one moulded mk1 mardave mini wheel/spur gear.
Motors must be the Mardave G1 & G2, and the Grapner 500 standard, Johnson 540 with plastic endbell, HPI Saturn 27T,
Tamiya Mabuchi 540 Silver Can with black endbell. All motors must be 27 Turns and have all identification labels intact,
all tabs must remain untouched. (These Identification stickers do not come off). Heat sinks can be fitted.
Use of motor cleaning fluids & additives allowed. Hunter Systems 27T motor TBC.
Countersunk screws can be used on the underside of chassis. Any holes drilled must be used or filled.
Max width of tyres to be front 25.4mm and rear 32mm. Max tyre diameter to be 57mm. Only foam tyres allowed.
Batteries only to be 4 cell Sub C nicads & ni-mh cells permitted, max 4600 mah, and must be covered in clear heat shrink or the manufacturers covering with identification clearly visible.
Mardave Mk1, R12, Manic, Pinky Mini stock chassis only.
Roof fins must be fitted to the roof of the car and must not have any sharp edges, and must be plastic. They must have the driver's number clearly visible on both sides of the shell.
Roof grades will be updated after every round. Please telephone if unsure of your grade. All cars must display correct roof grade, minimum 2" wide stripe. Anyone displaying incorrect roof grade will start from the back of the grid.
Windows must be completely removed as close to original car as possible.
Transponders must be chassis mounted only via non-metallic bracket, no exceptions!!!
