How i build our cars & prepare them will appear here shortly inclueding hints & tips.
PARTS:
V5D Servo posts, F10 Screws (2), 2 Small washers, V13G Speed post supports (3), V9A Pivot plate ballnut & screw, V9B Rear guide pin & screw, (2) M3 machine screws from pack V36, (2) M3 nuts.
When fitting the two front servo mounting posts use a small washer between the chassis & servo post & leave slightly loose, this help when fitting the servo in place & raises the servo from the chassis so the servo saver does not rub on the chassis.
Fit the V9A & use a little thread lock with the 3mm screw (small M3 machine screw).
Screw the rear guide pin into place also using another small M3 machine screw & a little thread lock.
Next the 2 longest M3 machine screws (in V36) & 2 M3 nuts place into the holes either side of the guide pin also using threadlock.
PARTS:
Chassis V1, V5A Wishbones, F10 self tapping crews (4)
To start off make sure the chassis is the right way up, theres always one lol. Turn the wishbones/A frames upside down, the gives less ground clearance but better handaling.
PARTS:
V7 Steering Mod, V6C Front coil springs, V6B Steering knuckle joints & stub axles, V6A King pins, F5 'E' clips.
When assembling fit the stub axles into place, they will fit one way only into the knuckle arms, put the king pins into place, when fitting the springs, place a small washer on top of the spring & then put the 'E' clip into place.
Fit a V7 Mod ball joint into both knuckle arms.
(Other style steering arms are available but we are using the mardave v7 mod kit.)
PARTS:
V8B Base plate, V8A Rear side pods, V8D 'O' ring, 4 counter sunk M3 self tapping screws, super glue (optional).
Fit both side pods together, using the longest M3 self tapping screw to fasten together.
Make sure the base plate is the right way up, you can run a thin strip of super glue (adult assistance required) along either side of the base plate, then screw the rear side plates to the base plate using 4 counter sunk M3 self tapping screws.
Fit the small 'O' ring into the oval shapped recessed hole, lightly oil, place over the rear guide pin & screw to the base plate with the 2 smallest M3 self tapping screws.
PARTS:
V9C Rear coil spring, 2 Plastic washers (from base plate), 2 M3 Lock nuts.
Clip rear pod into place, the ball joint will pop into place, fit both coil springs, then 2 plastice washers one either side & use the 2 M3 Nylon lock nuts one on either side, screw down approxamatly 5mm.
